I want to make mention here a list of the wines from Fyffe Field Wines before we begin our site on the comprehensive coverage of wines available from the Victoria region.
Verdelho
2005 Picked March 16th, 2005 Alc/Vol 13.5%
Pale straw in colour with herbal aromas, melon and citrus flavours and a long lingering finish. Match with fish, chicken or pork. Stelvin capped to eliminate cork taint.
Shiraz
2002 Picked 6th March
Alc/vol 13.0%
Oak matured for 15 months
Ripe fruit and complex sweet oak aroma.
The taste is long and rich.
Merlot 2003
this wine displays a medium brick colour, complex oak and the subtle aromas are followed by fine tannins and a dry finish.
Late Harvest
2005 Alc/Vol 12.9% Fermented with selected yeasts to help express fruit characteristics.A lusciously sweet wine with a refreshing finish. Stelvin capped to avoid cork taint and retain maximum fruit vitality.
Merlot 2004
2004 Hand picked March 25th, 2004 This wine displays meaty and smoky aromas. It is a pleasant drinking wine with a light structure. Stelvin capped to eliminate cork taint occurrence.
Petit Verdot
2002 Picked 21st March, 2002
Alc/vol 13.2%
Oak matured for 15 months
Subtle and refined violet & fruit characters with restrained French oak integration.
Muscat
A hint of spirit on the nose is enhanced by the rich sweetness of the Muscat flavors. A unique blend of Muscats from Rutherglen.
Tokay
This sumptuous blend of Rutherglen Tokays shows subtle butterscotch characters and a hint of savoury flavors on the finish.
Tawny Snort
This fortified wine a blend of Port and Muscat.
It is lusciously light and pleasing on the palate.
Enjoy in moderation.
Petit Verdot
2003 Alc/Vol 13.1% Picked March 11th, 2003 Displaying a ruby colour with purple glints at the rim, this wine has intense vanilla and fruit aromas. With an initial mouth sweetness, the middle palate is medium bodied and the wines has a dry finish.
